What's it all about?

The story so far...

I graduated from Uni with a Master of Engineering (Information Technology and Telecommunications) and decided to go into business in software design with a business partner. After three years, we decided that it was time to move on. This is me moving on...

During the period of time running the business, my skills and interests diversified into a range of new areas including writing, photography, motor sports journalism and travel. This web site combines most of those skills and will relate some of the episodes of what has come to be called "the trip".

To those that know me, this trip has been in the making for the past few years... and I will soon get going and put a stop to the jokes:

"When are you going, Rob? Haven't you left yet?" asks one of the many.

"Another two weeks, I just have to finish <insert web site, packing, planning, fixing the car, waiting for my laptop, buying food and equipment etc> ..." I reply.

If I did have to justify the presence of this web site I would say that I am keeping my skills up and publishing regularly to the internet.
